Seville, which today is the capital of the region, is a must for visitors who want to immerse themselves in the culture and history of Andalusia. There are two monuments that best portray the cultural dichotomy of the city: the Real Alcázar and the Cathedral.

The Royal Alcazar has always been used as a royal residence during the Arab era. It is composed of several buildings, from different eras, that form a real fortress. If touring the different rooms of the palace is something unforgettable, visiting its gardens surpasses the expectation, becoming one of the best memories of the visit.

A little further standthe Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Sede, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. Its foundation lies on the base of the mosque which soon after the reconquest was converted into a church. But this space for worship was small, and because it was essential to affirm the Christian faith as the now dominant religion, a monumental church should be built. In the tower, once a minaret of the mosque, a bronze statue representing the Faith is placed at the top and it functions as a windrow, "giraldillo", and from which the tower Giralda was named after.

Farther Leaving a little from the center, you come to the Parque de Maria Luisa. It is here that in 1929 the Ibero-American exhibition is held and where still today you can see the many beautiful buildings that served as exhibition pavilions of the various countries that were present. No doubt that the Spanish pavilion is the main point in this visit.
